I used to work for a phone survey company and at the end of each one, we have to do demographics. On one call, I was talking to this woman who was polite throughout but then I start reading the options on the race question and get to “African-American” to which she suddenly yells “I’M FUCKING BLACK!! I’M NOT AFRICAN!!!”
